To ensure the healthy development of BIM in Hong Kong, the Construction Industry Council (CIC), has introduced the “BIM Certification and Accreditation Schemes” to ascertain the competency of BIM personnel and the quality of local BIM training courses in 2019.
“Certification of BIM Manager” was first launched in 2019 and BSI is one of the first training course providers in offering CIC-Accredited BIM Manager course. More than 120 delegates from government departments, institutions, architecture, engineering, and construction industries have completed the training since 2019.
In Mar 2020, the CIC has announced the launch of “Certification of BIM Coordinators” and “Accreditation of BIM Coordinator Course”. It is targeted at BIM practitioners who already have relevant practical experience in BIM projects, meet the relevant academic requirement and have completed a CIC-Accredited BIM Coordinator Course.
We are pleased to announce that our “Global BIM Coordinator Professional Training” is accredited by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and this course is now accepting applications.
BSI will continue to support the industry by offering qualified BIM training courses and nurture BIM personnel.
